Talker guide

Someone to talk to about health worries

Waiting for test results. A diagnosis you did not expect. Chronic pain that friends do not understand. Health worries can feel isolating, especially when you do not want to scare the people you love. A verified listener can give you 15 minutes to talk about it.

18+ · remote · not therapy

Your care team handles the medical side. A listener is for the human side: the fear, the waiting, the frustration of being stuck at home, the strange loneliness of an invisible illness. They will not interpret results or suggest treatments — they will listen.

Living with chronic illness or pain

People living with chronic illness often say the hardest part is how alone it feels. Talking with someone who is not tired of hearing about it — and who will not offer miracle cures — can make a long day lighter.

Before surgery, during recovery, in the hospital

Nerves before a procedure, boredom during recovery, a long hospital stay — a short chat or call can break up the time. Chat works well when you cannot talk out loud.
